How to do alphanumeric DID numbers?

Added by Kevin Lynn 8 months ago

I'm trying to get an incoming call working in which the server is sending:
[Apr 12 12:48:10] From: "Lynn Kevin" <sip:>;tag=2a43v9NFmQ9QB
[Apr 12 12:48:10] To: <sip:>

I can't figure out how to do a DID number that's alphanumeric with Wazo. Because I can't (or can't figure out how to) setup an appropriate DID number it keeps getting sent to the "no such user" message.

Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this?

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,

I think I have something that could work for you.

1. Create the incoming call with the VH prefix
2. Add custom dialplan in xivo-extrafeatures.conf to match VH. extensions and redirect them to the numeric part only

[from-extern]
exten = _VH.,1,NoOp()
same  = n,GoSub(from-extern,${EXTEN:2},1)
same  = n,Return()

This will match any extension starting with VH and jump back into incoming calls without the VH

That worked! Thanks!

Now I just need to figure out why this SCCP phone has only 1 way audio... :)
